Regulating LGA’s For Inner West Tree Removal & Pruning

Tree work in NSW is regulated by local councils. According to the State Environmental Planning Policy (Vegetation in Non-Rural Areas) 2017, your LGA has the authority to declare which trees require a council permit.

Each LGA has their own restrictions that are outlined in their development control plan. We have worked with clients across all Inner West LGA’s. The below pages will help you understand what you can and can’t do without a tree removal and pruning permit.

  • Municipality of Burwood
  • City of Canada Bay
  • City of Canterbury Bankstown
  • Inner West Council
  • Strathfield Council
